How to Remove an Insert from a Metal Can.
In order to prevent leaking during shipping, metal cans that have liquids in them must have an insert under the screw top. This insert needs to be removed and discarded.
To remove the insert, hold the can to prevent the contents from spilling. Use a screwdriver and tap through the metal insert. The metal insert will pop out. The following video shows the
method of removing the insert. Keep the screw top on the can to prevent spills.
